The Best Spots to see Santa Claus in the GTA

With the winter holidays fast approaching we got into the Christmas Spirit by looking at some of the best spots in Toronto to see Santa Claus! If your family celebrates Christmas, here are some great places to bring your child to meet Santa.


The Santa Claus Parade

The Santa Claus Parade in Toronto is a beloved holiday tradition since 1905, featuring vibrant floats, marching bands, performers, and of course Santa! It is a great outing for the whole family, and if you are unable to make it in person that whole parade will be live streamed on YouTube.

Route for Santa Clause Parade

When: November 24th at 12:30 pm


Where: Starting at Christie Pits and ending at St. Lawrence Market


Covers: Bloor Street West, Queen's Park/University Avenue, Wellington St. West, and Front St. East. Parade Map.



Santa Claus at Bloor West Village

Celebrate the holidays in style at the Bloor West Village Holiday Event, where there’s something for everyone! Snap FREE photos with Santa, and yes, pets are welcome too! Visit Santa’s Workshop, sponsored by Meridian Credit Union, to decorate a gingerbread cookie or craft a festive holiday snow globe to take home. Kids will love the gigantic building blocks of fun, meeting The Grinch and costumed characters, and enjoying mesmerizing magic shows. Stroll the streets to the sound of live carolers, and sing along to your favourite festive tunes.

Santa Claus at The Toronto CF Malls

Santa’s cozy setup in the Toronto Eaton Centre and Fairview Mall is a must-visit for families. These iconic destination transforms into a winter wonderland, complete with festive decorations and photo opportunities with Santa. Make sure to book ahead for your visit to avoid long waits.

Santa Claus at Yorkdale Mall

Another Mall hosting a Santa Claus is at Yorkdale mall! Your child will have the opportunity to talk to Santa with photo-ops!


Santa and Elves at Yorkdale Mall

When: November 18 – December 24, 2024

Monday-Saturday: 9:00 am to 9:00 pm

Sunday: 10:00 am to 8:00 pm

See Santa Claus at one of GTA's best spots: Downey's Farm

Experience the magic of the season at Downey's Christmas at the Farm, where holiday traditions come alive for the whole family! Santa Claus at the Village at Black Creek

Experience the magic of the holidays at Santa at the Village, where a winter wonderland awaits! Santa's Storytime

This is a fun and interactive story-time and photo-op with Santa and his elves! Children also have the opportunity to send letters to the North Pole using Santa's mailbox, and receive a personal correspondence from one of Santa's elves. Children will enter Santa's workshop decorated with Christmas trees, lit garland, Nutcrackers, Reindeer, Snowmen, festive music, and of course elves! All donations and a portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the SickKids Foundation.


Santa and Elf at Gerrard Square

When: November 29th - December 23rd, 2024


Fridays: 4 pm to 7 pm


Saturdays & Sundays: 10 am to 5 pm


Where: 1000 Gerrard St E, Toronto


General Admission is $15 and applies to all children ages 1+ and time slots are 45 minutes.
