October is upon us and we are ready to get into the Halloween spirit! When I was a kid I loved all the Halloween activities Toronto had to offer, and it got me very excited for the holiday. Here is a list of 6 fun-filled activities to get your family in the Halloween spirit!
1. Boo at the Zoo - Halloween activities for kids in Toronto 2024 at the Zoo
Perfect for animal-loving kids, Boo at the Zoo offers an educational yet festive experience. Your family can enjoy Halloween-themed animal talks, learn about "creepy" critters like spiders and bats, and join in on a scavenger hunt for hidden pumpkins. The zoo is decorated for the holiday, making it a spooky but not-too-scary environment for young children.

2. Halloween Nights of Lights - Immersive Activities for Kids
This immersive walk-through light show is great for families with young kids who might be sensitive to more frightening activities. Featuring over 1.5 million LED and RGB animated and synchronized to halloween tunes! Continue to the pumpkinville after your walk through to see pumpkins sculptures and the village. This is an exciting experience for children of all ages.

3. Casa Loma’s "Legends of Horror" (Family-Friendly Tour)
While the nighttime version is quite spooky, Casa Loma offers a special family-friendly tour of its "Legends of Horror". You can walk at their own pace through a 2 km trail commencing in the lower gardens of Casa Loma and winding its way through the castles tunnels and darkest spaces never before open to the public.
Where: Casa Loma, 1 Austin Terrace.
When: Slots available from October until beginning of November 2024. Family hours are from 5- 6:30 pm.

4. PumpkinFest Toronto
More fun Halloween activities for kids in Toronto 2024 is a classic fall festival with a festive twist. PumpkinFest features a variety of fun activities for kids, including inflatable slides, a kiddie midway, a pumpkin patch, and a costume contest. You and your family can enjoy carnival rides, and there’s even a pumpkin carving contest for kids to show off their creative skills.

5. Halloween at the Village
For a more historical take on Halloween, visit Black Creek Pioneer Village for their Halloween Spooktacular. This event is great for kids, offering pumpkin decorating, scavenger hunts, and trick-or-treating around the village. Kids can interact with costumed characters, create Halloween crafts. and participate in storytelling sessions.
Where: Black Creek Pioneer Village, 1000 Murray Ross Parkway.
When: October 19, 20, 26, and 27, 2024.

Halloween Kids Video Dance Party at Fox Theatre
Get ready to groove this Halloween at the Halloween Kids Video Dance Party at the iconic Fox Theatre! The Halloween Kids Video Dance Party is a high-energy, 90-minute dance fest featuring family-friendly music videos that will have everyone up on their feet. With glow-sticks, disco lighting, and a playlist filled with kid-friendly tunes, it’s the perfect way for kids to "shake their sillies out" and dance in the aisles.
